Excellent every time. From the staff to the management to the food prep and cleanliness, this place rocks! It's very well priced for what you get and its all done so very well! The free wifi is an added bonus and I like that it's clean and hope it continues. One thing I didn't care for was how dang loud the music was. Very annoying. I go there for the food and NOT for overly loud music when you can't have a nice conversation with someone. Seriously, turn the volume down! It's supposed to be ambience not a nightclub. Loss of one star.

I really wanted to love this place since it is w/in walking distance of my home - but no such luck. I had the Mexican omelet and even though it was cooked perfectly - the flavor was bland. Barely any chorizo in the omelet and the green chili was just that - green. No heat at all. There are better breakfast spots in Castle Rock.

I was disappointed that with the name "egg" in the title of the restaurant, my eggs were under cooked. They immediately rectified it, however, so they get 3 stars instead of 2. The Belgium waffle is outstanding and they leave you with a pitcher of coffee which is great for refills. The staff is friendly and the location is wonderful but they are a bit over priced for the portion (although I'm finding that to be a trend here in Castle Rock).

As my husband and I were eating our omelets, (which were well made) we found not only 1, but 2 hairs in our omelets- his and mine. These were on 2 different plates, not the same. When I called for the manager, I saw the waitress tell a lady (not sure if she was the manager?) and she huffed and rolled her eyes then smiled real fake like when she saw that I was looking at her. They did comp our breakfast and then gave us about 5 coupons "to use next time" (like we are really going back?!) Those coupons were a joke! Free coffee. Haha! Never going back to this Egg and I or any other for that matter.

Well I'm afraid to say it but, we've been back 4 times now and every time the service or the food has gotten worse. Today's debacle was a twenty-five minute wait for our food and while the server was apologetic she brought out rubbery eggs without offering to have fresh ones made we had to ask. On top of this folks seated after us in another section were served their food and left before the new eggs arrived. That was the last chance they received from us and we won't be coming back until there's a change in management.

The Egg & I Is always a great breakfast choice. This was the first time we had been to the one in Castle Rock. We were seated on the patio, sadly we waited 20 minutes and finally had to go ask someone if we had a server. The food was good, a little cold by the time it came out but still tasted good. We only saw our server one more time. Overall the experience was good but not great, but I'm sure we will be back. Possibly just an off day after the 4th of July Holiday.

Good food...when you can get it. Worst service ever. Manager is absolutely useless and completely unapologetic. It shouldn't take 45 min to get a glass of water or 2 hrs for a pancake.

This used to be a great breakfast place but over the past several months the service has been less than stellar and the food quality fluctuates. I was served Hollandaise sauce that had separated :( Thankfully I had ordered it on the side. Now they have discontinued their punch card reward program.

2nd time here and it's still great! The Southern Pecan coffee rocks! The hash was super tasty and the hubby really enjoyed the spinach, bacon & cheese omelet. Shannon once again took phenomenal care of us.

Kind of hidden in the back of what looks like an office building all by itself. Use the directions tab ... It's right on. Best breakfast place we have found and we tried a few. Worthy of a visit ! Food was great , very clean and very friendly.

This restaurant just opened, and we have been there twice already! Best breakfast in Castle Rock. It is cosy, spotlessly clean, friendly service, and excellent food. Had the Belgian waffle this morning - tender and crispy where it counted with just the right amount of butter, and the coffee carafes were kept filled. They even have lots of little jam options (even apple butter!!). Highly recommended.

Great food good service and friendly staff. Each time I've eaten here it has been excellent. A little hard to get to but a definite place to eat.

The green chili chicken hash was like baby food / mashed potatoes with bits of chicken. It was edible but very bland and I'm pretty sure undercooked. For a terrible breakfast it wasn't cheap enough. I'll go back just because it's right down the road, but not with any expectations of decent food.

Great place to get breakfast with the family. Get the loaded rancho potatoes, one of the best side dishes there. My wife likes the house blend coffee. The nice thing about the coffee, is that they give you a pitcher of coffee at the table. Staff was nice and quick with their service.

Though it's nice to have a new restaurant in the Meadows, the staff needs to be better trained in greeting and serving customers more efficiently and courteously. The food was ok.

Restaurant is clean and comfortable, but the service and food are just OK. Pancakes were tasteless, and my egg dish was salty and the poached eggs were hard and dry. My family received their meals first and my meal came out five minutes later. We will try again in a few weeks to see if things get better.

What a disappointment. I've eaten at other Egg and I's and they were very good. We had lunch. My friend's dish came out wrong and sent back. Mine just had a blob of chicken salad on lettuce, the walnuts and apples were on the bottom of the salad. The nuts and apples were chopped very fine. Not good for $9.49. The waitress was just awful. We had to ask for more water, the Manager took care of our other problems and she disappeared until the check arrived. I will give this another try. If it is same service and blah food, then won't go back

We ate here a few weeks back. The food was good, not great. I felt for the portion the meal was quite expensive. My wife had one glass of orange juice and it was $3.19. Our server on the other hand was very good.

Not a whole lot to say here other than the place is very clean but it's also very new. Eggs Benedict was cold and apparently there is some kind of hollandaise sauce shortage I was unaware of because I was given 1 tablespoon for each egg. And I was also told it came with bacon where's the bacon? On the upside the coffee is plentiful, if you repeatedly asked for it! well the bathrooms are really clean, so if you need to go to the bathroom this is your place.

I stopped into this Egg & I at approximately 10:30am for a late breakfast. I was by myself and was given that "lovely seat next to the kitchen that all women who have had to eat alone are given". There were plenty of empty tables, just a horrible condescending hostess who gave me a seat where I couldn't even enjoy my meal! Would I go back? NO! Stay away from this place it is worse than horrible! When I mentioned it to the Cashier he said "they never use those tables unless they are really busy"! Drive down to Lincoln and go to SNOOZE! Oh, if you order the veggie Benedict...enjoy your cold eggs! I did have a great server!

Terrible service last weekend. The two hostesses seemed thoroughly confused by the prospect of calling out a name and leading a party to an empty table. Finally seated, we order our drinks and breakfast. Drinks get delivered... and that's the last we see of our waiter. About an hour later, after several parties who arrived after us are served, we stop the supervisor to request the bill for our drinks. She mumbles something about walkouts and confusion in the back. No apologies and she's visibly annoyed that we've stopped her. Very disappointing. The service and food are never that great, we really only went because there are few breakfast options in town. We won't be returning in the forseeable future.

The most important part is that the food wasn't good at all, but don't count on good service, either. Even the coffee was bad and served luke warm. Between a group of 5 of us, no one enjoyed their meals.
